Mary E. Hay, 75, Prairie Village, KS, passed away Thursday, December 24, 1998, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Mary was born in Newton, KS, and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1950. She was a member of the National Coucil of Flower Show Judges and the Cherokee Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rex Hay, of the home; children, James E. Hay, San Diego, CA, John C. Hay, Canyon City, CO, and Juliann Zimmerman, Shawnee, KS; two brothers, Paul W. Nye, Corpus Christi, TX, and Arnold C. Nye, Newton, KS; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. (Arrangements: D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel).
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Overland Park Chapel, 8201 Metcalf; burial in Corinth Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
