Shirley Turner
Obituary
Shirley Ann Turner was born Dec. 11,
1938, in Newton, the daughter of Oliver Jasper and Violet Blanche
(Nettrour) Fryhover. She peacefully passed away on Nov. 18, 2016, at
Schowalter Villa, Hesston, reaching the age of 77.
She attended Newton High School and, in
her late 40s, she went back to school and graduated from Wichita
Practical Nursing School as a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring from
Wheat State Manor in Whitewater.
Shirley was a member of the Garden
Community Church, south of Moundridge.
She is survived by her daughters, Joy
and husband Dennis Voth of Hesston and Amber and husband Tim Stucky
of Moundridge; grandchildren, Wyatt Voth, Austin and wife Christina
Voth, Shana and husband Jeremy Criswell, Amanda Stucky and Tiffany
Stucky; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Hunter, Monroe and Walter Voth
and Hazyl Criswell.
She was preceded in death by her son,
Ronald A Martin; father, Oliver J. Fryhover; mother, Violet Wiggins;
her five brothers, Oliver, Charles, Thomas, Richard and James; and
two sisters, Barbara and Bonnie.
The Celebration of Life Services will
be 10 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 10, 2016) at the Schowalter Villa Chapel,
200 Cedar St., Hesston.
Memorials may be sent to Alzheimer's
Association or the Schowalter Villa's Good Samaritan Caring Fund,
both in care of the Moundridge Funeral Home.
