Frieda E. Krehbiel
Frieda E. Krehbiel, 78, of North Newton, proof reader for Mennonite Press, died Tuesday (May 6, 1997) at Columbia Wesley Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 13, 1919, in India to Peter J. and Agnes Harder Wiens. She married Peter D Krehbiel on April 10, 1976, in North Newton. He survives.
She was a member of the Bethel College Mennonite Church and water exercise class of Kidron Bethel Care Home. She was a graduate of Bethel College and a North Newton resident.
Other survivors include one son, Anthony R. Epp of Lincoln, Neb.; two daughters, Rebecca J. Bartel and Janet L. VanDyke, both of Lenexa; one stepson, Randall K. Krehbiel of Lawrence; two step-daughters, Anne Sieber and Jeanette Wedel, both of Hesston; Two sisters, Agnes Mieka Bailey of Upland, Calif.; and Martha Koehn of North Newton; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Wiens and Rudolph Wiens.
Memorial services will be at 1 p. m. Saturday at Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton with the Rev. Darrell Fast Officiating. There will be no visitation.
A memorial may be sent to Kidron Bethel Village, in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
