Obituary
Loren J. DeMoss, 65, died Wednesday
(Dec. 14, 2016) at Wesley Medical Center. He was born Oct. 17, 1951,
in Des Moines, Iowa, to Daniel and Florence (Brown) DeMoss.
He was a retired employee for the City
of Newton. For the last several years, Loren lived at at the Wheat
State Manor in Wellington, where he made many friends. He was an avid
fisherman and enjoyed collecting antiques throughout the years.
Loren's family was important to him, and he greatly enjoyed spending
time with his loving family and many friends.
He is survived by his children,
Jeremiah and his wife Jennifer DeMoss, Justin DeMoss and his wife
Leanna Martinez and Jodie DeMoss.
He is also survived by his brothers,
Bill and Mike DeMoss and sister Diane DeMoss; as well as by eight
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; and former wife, Pam DeMoss.
A gathering with family will be from
6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday (Dec. 19, 2016) at Petersen Funeral Home
in Newton. There will be a private family interment at a later date.
