Floyd Janzen
Obituary
Floyd Janzen, 88, died Wednesday (Dec.
21, 2016) at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. He was born May 5, 1928, in
Goessel, the son of Daniel R. and Tena (Schmidt) Janzen. He was a
graduate of Walton High School. He worked for Hesston Corporation for
many years, was a member of Kingdom Life Ministries, Kansas Mennonite
Men's Chorus, Men of Harmony Barber Shop Chorus and the Gospel Four
Quartet. He married Anna Mae Hiebert on April 5, 1951, at
Alexanderwohl Church, Goessel. She survives.
Other survivors include three
daughters, Sheryl Shantz (Kim) of Phoenix, Kayleen Curey (Rick) of
Jackson, Michigan, and Amy Durksen (Richard) of Newton; nine
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; a son, Ed Janzen; two brothers, Art and Milford Janzen and a
sister, Rosella Jantz.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday (Dec. 27, 2016) at the Kingdom Life Church, Hesston, with
Pastor Scott Miller presiding. Burial will follow at Hesston City
Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
Monday (Dec. 26, 2016) at Miller-Ott Funeral Home in Hesston.
