Obituary: Wesley Allen Shepler   

Wesley Allen Shepler, 65, died on Tuesday (Aug. 14, 2012) at Via Christi-St. Francis in Wichita. He was born on June 11, 1947, in Newton to Charles H. Shepler and Eudora A. (Huddle) Shepler. He worked for the railroad. He married Margarita Shepler on Dec. 4, 1982, in Newton. She survives. He is survived by daughters, DanaRae Appel, O’Teka Wilson and Micayla Shepler; sisters, Patsy Guthrie, Virginia Guthrie (twin sister) and Joyce DuBois; and grandchildren, Zachary, Zane, Zeth, Brooke, Zahara and Jordan.?He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Eudora Shepler. There will be private family visitation. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 18, 2012) at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Newton, with Father Juan Garza officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newton. Memorials may be designated to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Harvey County. Baker Funeral Home of Peabody is in charge of the arrangements.
