Irvin W. Voth
Irvin W. Voth, 86, passed away Friday
(Nov. 30, 2007) at Newton Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 31, 1921, in rural
Marion County to John F. and Helena (Hildebrand) Voth.
He married Wilhelmina "Minnie"
Koehn on Aug. 29, 1944. Minnie preceded Irvin in death on Nov. 14,
1984.
Irvin was a lifelong farmer. He retired
from the Harvey County Appraiser's Office where he enjoyed working
for many years. A gentle and kind man, he liked being around people
and knew no stranger. Irvin persevered through pain and physical
hardships. Most of all, he loved his family.
Survivors include three sons, Allen
Voth of Denver, Donald Voth and wife, Bonnie, of Newton, and Kenneth
Voth and wife, Becky, of Newton; a daughter, Arlene (Voth) Carter of
Newton; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Voth, of rural Newton; seven
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife,
his parents, son Raymond Voth, great-granddaughter Kami Mae Greene,
and sisters Elma Voth and Verna (Voth) Kattapong.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m.
today at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton with family present from 6
to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Tabor Mennonite Church in Newton, with Pastor Corey Miller
of the church officiating.
Burial will be at Tabor Mennonite
Church Cemetery in rural Marion County.
