Elma L. Voth

HESSTON -- Elma L. Voth, 79, missionary, died Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2003) in Hesston. She was born March 6, 1923, to John F. and Helena (Hildebrand) Voth in Marion County. She was a member of Faith Mennonite Church in Newton. She moved to Harvey County in 1927 and graduated from Walton High School in 1941. She graduated from Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Neb., and worked as a missionary for many years in South America and Mexico. She retired in September 2001. Survivors include: five brothers, Irvin Voth of Walton, Alden Voth of San Jose, Calif., Melvin Voth of Colorado Springs, Colo., Gary Voth of Hesston and Roy Voth of El Dorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p. m. Friday with family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p. m. at Miller Funeral Home in Hesston.

Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Saturday at Hesston Mennonite Church with the Revs. John Murray and Cheryl Hershberger officiating.

Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with Mexican Mission Ministries and Schowalter Villa, both in care of the funeral home, 107 S. Lancaster Ave., Hesston, KS. 67062.
