Robert J. 'Bob' Ratley
Robert J. "Bob" Ratley, 58, died on Friday (July
6, 2012). He was born on Nov. 7, 1953, in Fort Monroe, Va., the son of DeWayne
and Arlene Pankratz Ratley. He was a 1971 graduate of Newton High School, a
mechanic graduate of Kansas Vo Tech, Newton, a member of CASA of Reno County -
Child Advocate, a member of NRA, was an avid bass fisherman and a member of
Union Valley Bible Church. Bob was a loss prevention manager for Sears. He was
married to Judy Harvey. They divorced. Then on May 19, 2006, he married Janette
K. Ullum Crum in Hutchinson. She survives.

Ratley, Norman, Okla., Alison Ratley, Wichita, two stepdaughters, Ashley
(Steve) Pitts, Newton, Holly Jo (Jon) Crum, McPherson; his mother, Arlene
McClure, Newton; two brothers, Larry, Hutchinson, and Mitchell, Newton; two
sisters, Christine Adams, Wichita and Diane Schroff, Augusta; four
grandchildren, Harry Ocon, Terry Pitts, Jace Ratley and Aden Pitts; his best
friends, Jim Daily, Newton, and John Daily, Haysville.
He was preceded in death by his father and a niece.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Union Valley
Bible Church, 1916 E. 30th with Pastor Steve Hodgson officiating.
Friends may sign his memorial register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main.
