Obituary: Lenora S. Cain
NEWTON — Lenora S. Cain, 83, died on Sunday (June 10, 2012)
at Newton Medical Center.
She was born on June 26, 1928, in WaKeeney to Ransom and
Julia (Thomas) Reddig. On Dec. 8, 1950, she married Billy Cain, and he preceded
her in death in 2005.
Lenora was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. She
was a homemaker and enjoyed creating ceramics, traveling and gardening. She also
enjoyed spending time with her loving family, especially eating out with her
daughter.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and
Gene Corfman of Newton; brother, Glenn Reddig of Reno, Nev.; and one grandchild
and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Viola
Westgate and Mildred Schneider; and brothers, Bill, Harry, Lester, Leo, Darrell
and Walter Reddig.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday (June 14,
2012) at Zion Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Aaron Filipek presiding.
Visitation will be noon to service time Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church.
Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Whitewater Cemetery in Whitewater.
