Obituary

Thelma J. Holzrichter, 93, died Thursday (Jan. 26, 2017) at her home in Burrton.

She was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Burrton to George Harvey and Mary May (Berger) Sabin.

She was a lifelong Burrton resident. She was baptized and was a member of Burrton Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school, Bible school, sang in the choir and was a member of the CFW. In her later years, she became a member of Halstead Baptist Church.

She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress at G&V Steakhouse in Burrton and Farmer's Corner Café Halstead.

On Jan. 1, 1941, she married Pete D. Holzrichter in Burrton. He preceded her in death Oct. 5, 2004.

Survivors include a daughter, Nelle Lay of Burrton; two grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorathy Holzrichter.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday (Jan. 29, 2017) with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday (Jan. 30, 2017) at Burrton Cemetery, with Pastor Roger Ericksten officiating.

Memorials may be given to Gideon's International or Heartland Hospice Memorials, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
