H. Byron Boman
Obituary
H. Byron Boman, 93, died, Saturday
(Jan. 28, 2017) at Diversicare of Sedgwick.
He was born July 2, 1923, in Washburn,
Missouri, to H. Ray and Nellie (Perkins) Boman.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII,
fighting in the first waves of Leyte and Okinawa.
He was a resident of Sedgwick since
1965 and a member of Sedgwick Christian Church.
He retired from Boeing in 1989, where
he worked as a manufacturing engineer.
On Dec. 5, 1949, he married Hazel
Jeanette Barr in Webb City, Missouri. She preceded him in death Feb.
17, 2005.
Survivors include sons, Terry (Shon)
Boman of Garrison, Minnesota; Stephen (Diane) Boman of Poway,
California; daughter, Jeanette McGlachlin of Sedgwick; six
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son,
Robert; and a sister, Geal Crawford.
A private graveside service will be
scheduled for a later date.
Memorials may be given to the National
Audubon Society, in care of Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
