Obituary

Everett G. Inghram, 88, died on Friday (May 11, 2012) at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 28, 1924, in Newton, the son of Glenn and Nellie Kizer Inghram. He was a retired machinist with the former Master Machine Co. and Lyons Machine Co. Everett belonged to the Bob Campbell VFW Post No. 1361. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Battleship Maryland. In 1948, he married Lois Jean Meier in Newton. She preceded him in death. On Aug. 12, 1978, he married Wanda Moore in Hutchinson. She died on Aug. 9, 1999.

Survivors include: three sons, David and Ronald, both of Hutchinson, and Richard of Stillwell; a granddaughter, Lily Inghram; and a sister, Ruth Nebergall of Hesston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Kenneth and Bob; and a sister, Marie Spangler.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Tony Perkins presiding. Visitation was Sunday and Monday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Darlow, with military graveside rites conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
