Jimmie Don Tatum
Copan, Okla. -- Jimmie Don Tatum, 79, of Copan, Okla., died
at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday (May 8, 2012). Jimmie Don Tatum was born on March 11,
1933, in Nowata County, the son of Joseph and Susie (Justice) Tatum. He
graduated from Childers High School. He married Twila Nadine Anderson on May
22, 1952. He worked as a salesman for Montgomery Ward in Bartlesville and
Newton, and then later as a material handler for Hay and Forage Company in
Hesston. He was a member of Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church and was
attending New Life Wesleyan Church in Copan.
Jimmie is survived by his wife, Twila of the home; one son,
Otis Dean Tatum of Newton; one daughter, Connie Jo Hart of Wichita; five
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jimmie Don
Jr.; four brothers; and eight sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at New Life
Wesleyan Church in Copan, Okla., with Pastor Jay Friedman officiating.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Byron-Amorita Cemetery near
Amorita, Okla., with Pastor Gib Clark officiating.
Services will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral
Home & Crematory of Bartlesville, Okla.
