Obituary
Dolores J. Schroeder, 83, of Newton
went to be with the Lord on Thursday (Feb. 9, 2017) in Newton.
Dolores was born the daughter of Lester and Viva Roll on Aug. 31,
1933, in Arapaho, Oklahoma. In 1952, Dolores and Clarence Schroeder
were united in marriage in Wichita. Together, they celebrated 50
years of marriage before his passing in 2002. Dolores retired from
Southwestern Bell as a records clerk and later became a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Newton. She
was an avid quilter and loved sewing.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; husband; and sister, Marie Roberts.
Survivors include her loving sons,
Robert Schroeder of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Ron (Bonita) Schroeder of
Burns, Randall (Bonnie) Schroeder of Wichita; sister, Ramona (James)
Carselowey of Douglass; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on
Wednesday (Feb. 15, 2017) at First Baptist Church, 200 W. Sixth St.,
Newton, KS 67114. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Harry Hynes Memorial
Hospice, 313 S. Market St., Wichita.
