Clarence James Schroeder
Clarence James Schroeder, 73, exchange
repairman for Southwestern Bell, died Monday (July 8, 2002) at Newton
Medical Center. He was born May 14, 1929, to Peter and Martha (Knaak)
Schroeder in Harvey County. He married Dolores Jean Roll July 9,
1953, in Sedgwick County. She survives of the home. He had lived in
Newton since 1961, moving from Wichita. He was raised in Hillsboro
and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1948. Other survivors
include: three sons, Robert Allan Schroeder of Idaho Falls, Idaho,
Ronald Wayne Schroeder of Whitewater and Randall Bryan Schroeder of
Wichita; four brothers, Roy Schroeder of Newton, Earl Schroeder of
Benton, Harold Schroeder of Rose Hill and James Schroeder of Wichita;
a sister, Vera Sills of Newton; three grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p. m. and 3
p. m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Newton with the Rev. Kirk
Weaver officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial
Gardens in Wichita.
