Obituary

Leona Elizabeth Rilling, 91, of Moundridge, died Feb. 4, 2017, at Mercy Hospital, Moundridge. She was born July 30, 1925, in rural Burrton to Jacob J. and Gertrude (Wiens) Adrian. She was the youngest of eight children.

While both of her daughters were speaking with Leona's attending doctor and nurse, she peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior. She had longed to go to Heaven and join her husband of 69 years, Raymond, who passed away four years ago.

Leona is survived by her daughters, Carol Rilling of Moundridge and Cindy Rilling Gonzalez of Kendale Lakes, Florida; grandsons, Luis Gonzalez, Jr. of Homestead, Florida, and Gilbert Gonzalez, of Miami; two granddaughters-in-law; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Adrian Kasper of Newton; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; brothers, Jonathan Adrian, Milton Adrian and Otto Adrian; sisters, Rosella Adrian Crigger, Bertha Adrian and Verna Adrian; and a son-in-law, Luis Gonzalez.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (Feb., 17, 2017) at the Garden Community Church, 6520 N. Halstead Rd, Moundridge. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family would like to invite you for light refreshments in the church fellowship hall following the service.

Memorials may be made to Focus on the Family or Insight for Living, both in care of Moundridge Funeral Home.
