Bernice (Hudson) Fields

HALSTEAD—Bernice Fields, 92, passed away Feb. 11, 2017 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born May 10, 1924 at Haworth, Oklahoma to George and Bettie (Fitzpatrick) Hudson.

She was a graduate of Talihina High School.

Survivors include sons: Ace (Son Ok) Fields Jr., Arlington, Virginia; George (Linda) Fields, Benton, Arkansas; daughters: LaHoma (Darrall Brinlee), Ponder, Texas; Betty (Tyler) Woodrow, Wichita; Glenda (Dan) Davis, Peck; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother; Eugene Hudson, step-mother; Berta (Trammell) Hudson and the father of her children, Athell A. Fields.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with Chaplain Tim Schellenberg officiating.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley.

Memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Hospice in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
