Gary E. Livengood
Obituary
NEWTON — Gary E. Livengood, 69, died on Saturday (April 14,
2012) at Newton Medical Center in Newton.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1942, in Abilene to Everett and
Maxine (Buck) Livengood. On Aug. 14, 1999, he married Elisabet Cheing in Valley
Center, and she survives of the home.
Gary served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He
was a retired sales manager and still working part time for Continental Agra
Equipment in Newton. He enjoyed travel and exploring new places, skeet shooting
with his buddies, grilling, cooking and spending time with his loving family.
Gary is survived by his wife, Elisabet Cheing-Livengood of
the home; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and John Wolski, and one
stepgrandson, Dylan of Wichita; stepson, Giancarlo Goncalves of Miami; brother
and sister-in-law, Lon and Rossie Livengood of Morganville; one nephew, Jeff;
one niece, Christine; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service of celebration and remembrance will be at 7 p.m.
Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. The family will greet friends
following the service. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday.
