Obituary
WICHITA — Steven D. White, 57, passed away on Monday (April
9, 2012) at Via Christi Hospital St. Francis Campus in Wichita.
He was born on March 15, 1955, in Fort Smith, Ark., the son
of Marvin A. and Kathryn (Brownfield) White. Steven was an electrician working
in the construction industry for many years. He was a very fun-loving, laid
back, happy man who was loved very much.
He is survived by his two daughters, Shawna Tharp of Kansas
City, Mo., and Carisa White of Wichita; two grandchildren; two brothers, Ricky
D. White of Wichita and Terry D. White of Coweta, Okla.; and three sisters,
Teresa Kay Abshier of Graham, N.C., Kelly Sue Metzger of Park City, and Gwen
Renee Brawner of Park City.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Petersen
Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Friday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial
Hospice, in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
