Robert L. 'Bob' Knott
Obituary
HESSTON — Robert L. “Bob” Knott, 81, died on Monday (April
9, 2012) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
He was born on April 12, 1930, in Newton to Kenneth Leonard
and Ruth Elaine (Perkins) Knott. On Feb. 6, 1949, he married Edith L. McCann at
Highland Church in rural Hesston. She survives of the home.
Bob was a retired farmer and former co-owner of Central
Livestock in Hutchinson. He was a member of United Methodist Church. Bob was a loving husband, father and
grandfather, and he looked forward to spending time with his family and many
friends.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Knott of the home; sons,
Larry and his wife, Gail of Wichita and Ron Knott of Newton; daughter, Penny
and her husband, Todd McAnulty of Wichita; brother, Richard and his wife,
Marilyn Knott of Hesston; and a sister, Carol and her husband, Richard Hrdlicka
of Santa Fe, N.M. He also had five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister,
Virginia Johnston.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Schowalter
Villa Chapel in Hesston, with Chaplain Wendy Miller presiding. A private family
interment will be in the Hesston City Cemetery.
