Obituary
VALLEY CENTER — Mary Ellen McCoy Scott, 82, died on
Wednesday (April 4, 2012) at her home in Valley Center.
She was born on July 7, 1929, in Haverhill, the daughter of
Robert and Elizabeth Case McCoy. She married Bertrum Scott Sr. on July 30,
1946.
Survivors include her children, Bertrum and Patsy Scott Jr.,
Sharon and Ron Holloway, Beverly and Al Jeffries, Janet and Phil Ashley, Sandra
and Lee Ward, and Gregory and Teresa Scott; 20 grandchildren; 37
great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son,
James Scott; brothers, Charles and Hervey; and sisters, Hazel, Grayce, Velma
and Doris.
The family will receive friends between 4 and 6 p.m. today
at Valley Center Christian Church.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Valley Center
Christian Church. Interment will be in the Walton Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Valley Center
Christian Church Building Fund and Johnson University of Knoxville, Tenn.
