Obituary
LAWRENCE — Lowell Edward Dodd, 76, of Lawrence died on
Wednesday (April 4, 2012) at his residence.
He was born on May 31, 1935, in Success, Ark., to Guthrie
Thrilcill and Willie Elsie “Minnie” Yates Dodd. He was a member of Heritage
Baptist Church in Lawrence, as well as Meridian Baptist Church in Newton.
He is survived by two sons, Ricky Dodd of Newton and Robbie
Dodd of Texas; two daughters, Lorinda Hartzler and LaVonna McAlister of
Lawrence; a brother, Fredrick J. Dodd of Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lowell E. Dodd Jr.
A visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at Heritage
Baptist Church of Lawrence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Heritage Baptist
Church. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery, near Melvern Lake.
