Obituary
Gerald E. "Jerry" Little, 80,
died Tuesday (Feb. 28, 2017) at his home in Texas. He was born April
15, 1936, in Spearville. Jerry had lived in Kinsley, Wichita,
Sedgwick, Springfield, Missouri, Loveland, Colorado, Soviet Russia,
Ponca City, Oklahoma, Memphis, Tennessee and San Antonio. Jerry
graduated from Kinsley High School in 1954.
He was a veteran of the Korean War
serving in the U.S. Army. He worked as a plumber/pipe fitter and
construction foreman with Kendell, Inc. and later Flintco, prior to
opening his own business, J.C. Little Inc., operating a machine shop
and equipment rental and repair business until his death.
He was a former member of the local
Plumber's and Pipefitter's union and the Air Capital Parachute Team.
On Jan. 7, 1962, Jerry married Sylvia Snavely in Wichita.
He is survived by one son, David Little
and wife Laura, Sedgwick; one daughter, Deborah Robinson and husband
John, Newton; six grandchildren, Daniel and AnnaBelle Little and
Tyler, Hana, Joshua and Emily Robinson; and a sister, Judy McDaniel,
Dodge City.
He was preceded in death by a brother,
Maywood Little, Jr.
Funeral Service and celebration of
Jerry's life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday (March 7, 2017) at Fleener
Funeral Home, Greensburg. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery,
Greensburg.
