Obituary
HESSTON — Wilbur A. Young, 83, passed away on Saturday
(March 17, 2012) at Newton Medical Center in Newton.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1928, in McPherson County, the son
of Harry and Anna Reimer Young. He worked for King Motor Co. and Martin NAPA Auto
Parts in Hesston, retiring in December 2010. He was a member of Alexanderwohl
Mennonite Church in Goessel. On Sept. 18, 1960, he married Margie Unruh in
Goessel.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Margie of Hesston;
son, Mark of Hesston; daughter, Cheryl and son-in-law, Robert Ellis of Kansas
City, Mo.; granddaughters, Elizabeth Ellis, Sophia Ellis and Isabel Ellis;
sister, Arline (Bud) Bachman of Hesston; and sister, Aline Bachman of
Moundridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Stella
Stull; brother-in-law, Verne Bachman; and niece, Vicky Bachman.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Miller-Ott
Funeral Home in Hesston, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral
service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in
Goessel, with Pastors Linda Ewert and Steve Schmidt officiating. Burial will
follow in Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery.
