Obituary
NEWTON — Juanita Georga Martinez, 69, died on Oct. 23, 2009.
She was born on March 8, 1940, the daughter of Frank and
Bertha Martinez.
Survivors include two sons, Albert Martinez Sr. and Robert
Soliz Jr. of San Bernadino, Calif.; two daughters, Carmen Soliz of San
Bernadino, Calif., and Adelina Martinez of Chanute; her life partner, Robert
Soliz Sr.; five grandsons; six granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; two
great-granddaughters; with another great-grandchild on the way; one brother,
Nick Martinez of Independence; one sister, Narcisa Martinez of San Bernadino;
along with many nieces and nephews who have all filled her heart by always
keeping her a part of their lives; as well as family and many life-long friends
she loved and cared about deeply.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers,
John Martinez Sr. and Richard Martinez; and one sister, Katie Torres.
Graveside memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at
St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newton.
