Obituary
Barbara Ann Snaer of Gardner went to be with the Lord on
Friday (Feb. 3, 2012) at Olathe Medical Center in Olathe.
She was born on Oct. 30, 1942, in Newton to Arley and Anna
(Franzen) Etter. Barbara graduated from Newton High School in 1961 and also attended
Bethel College in North Newton. She was employed with Southwestern Bell and
AT&T for 35 years, retiring in 2003.
Her interests included spending time with family, reading,
walking with friends, and playing with her grandson, Jacob. She especially enjoyed
a trip to NYC with her cousin, Judy. She is survived by her brother, Jim Etter
of Newton, and her son, Brian Snaer of Olathe.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ
Community Church of the Nazarene, 21385 College Blvd. in Olathe, where the
family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. A graveside service
will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
