Obituary
Christopher M. Casey, 29, died on Wednesday (Feb. 1, 2012)
at his Newton residence.
He was born on June 20, 1982, in Newton to Dennis Casey and
Char DeSmith Foth. He was a mechanic and driver for Bridges Inc. in Newton.
Chris was a graduate of Newton High School. He enjoyed hot
rods and auto mechanics and also enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting,
fishing and camping. He looked forward to bowling with his friends.
Chris was an animal lover and enjoyed his pets. His family
was very important to him, and he looked forward to spending time with his
loving family and many friends.
Chris is survived by his mother, Char DeSmith Foth and her
husband, Brice Foth of Newton; father, Dennis and his wife, Jackie Casey of
Fayetteville, Tenn.; sister, Erin Casey of Newton; brothers, Bryan Casey of
Newton, Jonathan Foth of Peabody, Jordon Foth of Wichita, and Bobby Mendoza of
Fayetteville, Tenn.; significant other, Mallory Hall; maternal grandmother,
Ljuba DeSmith of Newton; paternal grandmother, Sonja Goering and her husband,
James of Newton; four uncles; and five aunts.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather,
Ronald DeSmith; and his paternal grandfather, James Casey.
A celebration of Christopher’s life will be at 2 p.m.
Thursday at First Baptist Church in Newton, with the Rev. Rob Schmutz of Park
City United Methodist Church presiding.
Memorials are suggested to Caring Hands Humane Society, in
care of Petersen Funeral Home of Newton.
