Eunice A. Gaiser
Obituary
Eunice A. Gaiser, 93, of Newton, homemaker and retired
Ramada Inn Restaurant hostess, passed away on Tuesday (Feb. 7, 2012) at Kansas
Christian Home.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1918, in Alexander to Oliver and
Freda (Kueffer) Ream. Eunice graduated from Alexander High School. On May 9,
1940, she married Leslie Schreiber in Great Bend. They had two sons, Ronald G.
and Jack L.
Leslie died in 1945 while serving his country. She married
Harold Smith in 1949 in Newton. He passed away in 1965. In 1968, she married
Vernon Gaiser in Newton. He passed away in 1981.
She is survived by sons, Ronald G. of Larned and Jack L. and
wife, Lorinda (Overstreet) of Newton; local grandchildren, Jim L. and wife,
Melissa Schreiber of Newton, and Jackie L. (Schreiber) and husband, Rusty
Krehbiel of Hesston; three other grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and
many nieces and nephews.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and
Freda Ream; brothers, Gaylord Jack Ream and Newton Ream; and sister, Vivian
Sanders.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven
Mortuary Chapel in Wichita.
