Obituary
Christopher "C.J." Schmidt,
20, died Saturday (March 11, 2017) at his home in Newton.
He was born on May 18, 1996, in Wichita
to Katherine P. Schmidt. She precedes him in death.
C.J. loved music. With that love came
the joy of singing and dancing. He loved playing his video games. He
was employed with RCI of Newton and also participated in the Special
Olympics.
He is survived by his brother, Alex
Schmidt; aunt and uncle, Jeff and Lori Schmidt; two uncles, Mitch and
Chris Franz; and his grandmother, Tootsi Schmidt.
Preceding him in death was his beloved
mother, Katherine; his grandmother, Billie McFarland; and
grandfather, Jerry Schmidt.
Services will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday (March 18, 2017) at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in
Newton. Pastor Matt Kruse will be presiding.
Memorials have been established with
Newton Bible Church in care of the funeral home at 120 E. Broadway,
Newton, KS.
