Lois Anna Williams
Lois Anna Williams, 84, homemaker, died
Thursday (Jan. 10, 2002) at Presbyterian Manor in Newton.
She was born Sept. 7, 1917, in Harvey
County to J. W. 'Ward' and Mary Ellen (Reber) Spangler. She married
Gale B. Williams March 29, 1940, in Newton. He preceded her in death
Aug. 3, 1993.
She was a member of Salem United
Methodist Church in Newton. She attended District 36 grade school in
rural Newton and graduated from Newton High School in 1937. She was
involved in Harvey County 4-H for many years. She enjoyed flowering
violets, fishing, quilting, crocheting and friends.
Survivors include: two sons, Stan
Williams of Warrensburg, Mo., and Gerald Williams of Newton; a
daughter, Phyllis Hawley of Coffeyville; a brother, Frank Spangler of
Newton; and a sister, Margaret White of Newton.
She also was preceded in death by a
brother; Lewis Spangler.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p. m.
today and 1 to 9 p. m. Sunday with family greeting friends from 4 to
6 p. m.
Funeral service will be 2 p. m. Monday
at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Monty Fey officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
