Walter B. Entz
Walter B. Entz, 94, died Friday (Feb.
14, 2003) at Kidron Bethel Health Care in North Newton. He was born
Feb. 23, 1908, to Bernhard W. and Anna (Claassen) Entz in Harvey
County. They preceded him in death. He married Anna Woelk April 7,
1934, in Goessel. She preceded him in death Feb. 30, 1981. He married
Edythe Wedel Dec. 11, 1982, in North Newton. She survives of the
home. He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Newton. He was a
retired wheat farmer and feed lot operator. He had a farm east of
Newton. He enjoyed traveling with his wives. He took several tours to
Europe, Alaska and Hawaii. He also traveled to California and Oregon.
He enjoyed fence building. Many of his fences stand in the Harvey
County area.
Other survivors include: a son, Merle
W. Entz of Henderson, Nev.; a daughter; Gwendolyn Ann Peterson of
Albuquerque, N. M.; a stepdaughter, Jocelyn Kasitz of Newton; a
stepson, Robert Graber of Newton; a brother, Willard Entz of Newton;
two sisters, Hilda Busenitz and Edith Harms, both of Newton; five
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild;
four step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by: three
brothers, Dan Entz, Sam Entz and an infant brother; and a sister;
Martha Klaassen.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p. m.
Sunday and from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. Monday with family greeting
friends from 6:30 to 8 p. m. Monday; all at Petersen Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be 10 a. m.
Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials service will be 11 a. m.
Tuesday at First Mennonite Church with Pastor Clarence Rempel
officiating.

donor's choice, all in care of the funeral home.
