Obituary
NEWTON — Linda Amanda Williams, 91, passed away on Saturday
(Feb. 18, 2012) at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton.
She was born on March 13, 1920, in Oakley, the daughter of
John and Mary (Unrau) Franz. Linda was a file clerk at the Railroad Savings and
Loan in Newton before she retired, and she also belonged to the Goessel Book
Club.
She is survived by two sons, Terry Unruh and wife, Susan of
Wichita, and Gary Unruh of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Gail Unruh-Revel and
husband, Harry of Newton; a stepdaughter, Eva Parker; six grandchildren, Samuel
Revel, David Unruh, Marie Unruh, Kimberly Eckum, Tyler Revel and Cole Revel; a
great-grandson, Brinnon Eckum; and a sister, Irma Dahl of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil
Unruh; husband, W.G. “Dub” Williams; a son, Lanny Unruh; and three brothers,
Milford Franz, Arvid Franz and Eldo Franz.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Faith
Mennonite Church in Newton, with a private family inurnment to take place at a
later time.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart
Association, in care of the funeral home. Petersen Funeral Home of Newton is in
charge of arrangements.
