Obituary
EMPORIA — Delores Dallas Lambert, 76, died on Tuesday (Jan.
3, 2012) at Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia.
Delores Dallas Gilchrist was born on June 6, 1935, in
Kingman, the daughter of Wilbur and Tillie Viola (Lingenfelter) Gilchrist. She
was a graduate of Kingman High School and was a homemaker. Delores was a member
of Life Church in Emporia.
Delores married Gerald Lee Lambert on Nov. 11, 1961, in
Newton.
She is survived by a son, Roy Lambert of Emporia; daughters,
Patricia Lipson of Emporia, and Katherine Sprecker of Americus; grandchildren,
Jennifer Lipson of Joplin, Mo., David Sprecker III of Emporia, Sharee Lambert
of Emporia, Nicole Tollett of Oceanside, Calif., and Gerri Sprecker of Emporia;
and a great-grandchild, Talen Hart of Oceanside.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and
daughters, Sheryl Lambert and Norma Lambert.
A joint service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Life
Church in Emporia with her husband, Gerald Lambert, who died on Dec. 31, 2011.
Pastor Tony Lantz and Pastor Chris Baker of the church will be officiating.
Interment will be at 3 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hand-In-Hand Hospice
or Emporia Presbyterian Manor Good Samaritan Fund and sent in care of
Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home of Emporia.
