N. Marie Partridge
Obituary
NEWTON — N. Marie Partridge, 86, peacefully went to be with
her Lord at her Newton residence surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday
(Jan. 24, 2012).
She was born on Sept. 8, 1925, in Reeds, Mo., to George and
Lillie Mae (Brown) Brenneman. On April
2, 1943, she married Russell R. Partridge in Newton, and he preceded her
in death on Aug. 2, 1999. Along with her
husband, Marie was the co-owner and secretary for Partridge Auto Supply since
1953. She was also a long-term active member of First Church of the Nazarene in
Newton.
Marie loved going out and meeting her friends for coffee.
She took pride in her home and loved working in her yard. She loved building
artificial trees and flower arrangements. She helped out wherever she was
needed. Mom was a loving person and a wonderful grandmother, mother and
mother-in-law. She passed away in her home surrounded by all that she loved.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne and Bob Partridge, both
of Newton, and a daughter, Charlene O’Connor of Moore, Okla. She had eight
grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Marie also has several nieces and
nephews that survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three
brothers, Jesse, Lawrence and Roy Brenneman; and a son-in-law, Robert L.
O’Connor.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Church of
the Nazarene, with Pastor Charles West presiding. Burial will be in Greenwood
Cemetery in Newton.
Memorials may be left with Central Homecare, in care of
Petersen Funeral Home.
