Jeffrey Shawn Raskopf, 45, died Sunday (May 8, 2011) in Marion County.
He was born on June 25, 1965, to Glenda Kay (Wilkinson) and Larry Raskopf Sr.
Jeff attended Newton High School and Salina Area Vocational School. He worked as an auto and truck mechanic in Newton for many years before becoming a truck driver for R and C Transportation in Pittsburg in 2008. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and recreational sports and spending time with his family and friends.
Jeff is survived by his parents and children; Kendra (Tom) Rains, Valley Center, and Jhon Raskopf, Peabody; a brother, Larry (Paula) Raskopf Jr.of Pittsburg; a sister, Michelle (Mike) Wonders of Newton; and nieces; Ashley (Garrett) Crider of El Dorado, Karissa Wonders of Lawrence and Kami Wonders of Newton; and a great-nephew.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established with Harvey County Ducks Unlimited, P.O. Box 418, Hesston, KS 67062.
