Luella Loganbill

Obituary
Lu was born Aug. 6, 1928, in McPherson
and died on Sunday (April 16, 2017) in Moundridge. Lu (Zerger)
married Varden Loganbill on May 31, 1950. She was a graduate of
Bethel College, where she continued to serve as a member of the
Women's Association and the Bethel College Board. Lu was active in
raising her family, serving her church and community and blessing
countless people with her genuine and unselfish hospitality. Lu's
love of music and art were displayed in many creative ways. The
prolific work of her hands included clothing, quilts, afghans, wall
hangings and wheat weavings. Lu shared her love of music by directing
children's choir, singing in a women's quartet and singing in the
church choir. Lu steadfastly supported her children and
grandchildren, remaining involved and active in their lives.
Lu is survived by her husband of 67
years, Varden; children, Marcus (Cynthia) Loganbill, Valerie (K.
John) Klaassen and Blair (Lisa) Loganbill; siblings and spouses,
Reuben Zerger, Benjamin (Joyce) Zerger, Marjean Stucky, Kathleen
(Kerm) Wedel, Ted (Vera) Zerger, Carol Jenner (Ed Altman), Elaine
Loganbill and Denard (Marguerite) Loganbill; grandchildren, Sarah
(Jamie), Hannah, Megan (Brad), Daniel (Megan), Christian, Patrick,
Genet, Alec and Mia; as well as by two great-grandchildren, Lincoln
and Lawrence.
Memorials have been established with
Bethel College and First Mennonite Church of Christian.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on
Monday (April 24, 2017) at the Moundridge Funeral Home.
The memorial service will be at 11 a.m.
on Tuesday (April 25, 2017) at Eden Mennonite Church in rural
Moundridge.
