Obituary
Daniel Edward Miller, 63, died Sunday
(April 23, 2017) at his home in Hillsboro. He was born April 28,
1953, in Goshen, Indiana, to Melvin and Mary (Detwiler) Miller.
He was the Director of Aviation at
Hesston College for 26 years. On April 14, 1979, he married Jaynette
Miller in Hesston. She survives.
Other survivors include sons, Bryant
Miller (Chrystina), Goessel, and Vaughn Miller (Caroline), Virginia
Beach, Virginia; daughters, Leslie Duerksen (Lyndl), Goessel, and
Amreitha "Ami" Jeeva (Pradeepan), Bellevue, Washington;
grandchildren, Ezra, Nayana and Isaiah Duerksen, and Obadiah Jeeva;
father, Melvin Miller, Goessel; and sister, Kathryn Bontrager
(Mervin), Shipshewana, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his mother;
brothers, Stephen Miller and an infant brother David Miller.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7
p.m. Wednesday (April 26, 2017), with the family present from 5 to 7
p.m. at Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Hesston. Graveside service will be
11 a.m. Thursday (April 27, 2017) at Eastlawn Cemetery, Hesston.
Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Hesston Mennonite Church,
with Pastor Brad Penner presiding.
