Frances E. Jacobs
PEABODY - Frances Elizabeth Jacobs, 78, died Feb. 17, 2005, at her home, Peabody.
She was born Dec. 17, 1927, at Madison, the daughter of Clarence and Nellie Georgiana Crawford Haas. She was a 1945 graduate of Peabody High School and worked as a bookkeeper and secretary in Newton, Hesston and Peabody.
She belonged to First Christian Church, Peabody.
On Oct. 15, 1945, she married William H. Jacobs at Newton.
Survivors include: two sons, William C., Peabody, and Charles R. Geneseo; a brother, Russell Morton Haas, Wichita; a sister, Lela McDonough, Wichita; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Haas; and a sister, Arlene O'Connor.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. March 12 at First Christian Church, with Pastor Jim Pohlman presiding.
Petersen Funeral Home, Newton, is in charge of arrangements.
