Obituary

Dale J. Reif, 78, passed away Tuesday (May 2, 2017) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born on Aug. 19, 1938, in Hesston, the son of Leslie and Elsie Lorene Lynch Reif.

He was retired from Hesston Corp. and a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Newton, where he had been a Sunday school teacher. On April 26, 2013, he married Brenda Newman in Newton. She survives.

Other survivors include his sons, Dennis (Nancy) of Wichita and Dale (Tammy) of Wichita; a step-daughter, Cathy Turley of Wichita; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Derrick; and two brothers, Earl and Larry.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday (May 4, 2017) at Miller-Ott Funeral Home in Hesston.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday (May 5, 2017) at Miller- Ott Funeral Home in Hesston, with burial to follow in the Hesston City Cemetery, Hesston.
