Glenn Earl Fundenberger
Glenn Earl Fundenberger, born Feb 21, 1920, at Hutchinson, Kan., died peacefully Dec. 4, 2007, at his son's home. 
In 1938, Glenn married Mildred Lehman, who survives at the family home. He is also survived by their children, Lois Enman (Jerome Rosemeyer) of Eugene, Ore., Jean (Robert) Armstrong of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Lee (Judy Snyder) Fundenberger of Humptulips; and seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. 
Glenn's talents were many. His life started as a farmer in Kansas, a rancher in Oregon, a trucker, a builder of homes, an operator of an aircraft repair shop. He was also an Army Veteran, serving with the Occupation Forces in Japan in 1945-46. 
In 1973, Glenn and Mildred made Ocean Shores their home. In addition to his construction work, he served eight years on City Council, helped with building the addition to Galilean Chapel, the Food Bank, Anchor Ave. Thrift Store and the Lions Club. 
Glenn enjoyed flying, earning his pilot's license in 1947. This interest continued throughout his life and several years he bought more aviation gas than car gas. Glenn operated Ocean Shores Airport as a volunteer for over five years, meeting the planes, providing information, coffee and ground transportation for the visiting pilots. 
Glenn was one of the founders of the Ocean Shores Senior Center. He helped build it and managed it for a number of years.
