Obituary

Nora L. Richter, 92, passed away Friday (May 5, 2017) at the St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

Nora was born Jan. 15, 1925, in Walton, the daughter of Sam and Justine Hiebert Schmidt. She grew up in Walton and graduated from Walton High School.

On Dec. 3, 1946, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Richter. They made their home in Marion. Nora worked as a cook in a nursing home. She was a member of the Aulne United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, in 1988.

She is survived by a son, Marshall Richter, and a grandson, Ryan Richter, both of Marion.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday (May 11, 2017) at the Aulne United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.

A viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday (May 10, 2017) at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion.

A memorial has been established with the church, in care of the funeral home.
