Carole Ann Moore
1940 - 2017
Obituary
Carole Ann (Grace) Moore, 77, died
Saturday (May 6, 2017) at her residence. She was born Feb. 15, 1940,
in Newton, to Edwin and Zella (Marshall) Grace.
On Sept. 11, 1981, she married Frank
Moore at Cripple Creek, Colorado and he survives of the home. Carole
retired from the former KGE (now Westar) as a customer service
representative and secretary.
She was a long time active member of
the First Christian Church in Newton. Carole served the church as a
deacon and filled in wherever work needed to be done. She could most
often be found working in the church kitchen. In years past, Carole
was active in the Eastern Star.
Traveling was a favorite pastime. She
looked forward to traveling to Branson, Missouri and Eureka Springs,
Arkansas, to country music concerts and venues with her husband and
family. The fall was a favorite time to travel and to enjoy the
changing colors of the trees.
Carole could be found keeping up with
current events, reading the newspaper and many magazines that found
their way to her home. She looked forward to the return of the
cardinals each spring that made their home in the bushes of the
backyard. Family and friends were important to Carole, and she
enjoyed spending time catching up on their lives and activities. She
especially looked forward to spending time with her beloved
grandchildren.
Carole is survived by her husband,
Frank Moore of the home; daughter, Angela Chandler of Wichita;
