Obituary
Raul "Ralph" Perez, 85, died
Monday April 10, 2017, at Queen of the Valley Hospital in California.
He was born and raised in Newton, the son of Manuel and Manuela
Perez.
Ralph was drafted into the Army in
1950, during the Korean War, and served three years in the military.
He graduated from Newton High School in 1949 and was active in the
Mexican American softball and basketball leagues. Ralph was also a
barber for 46 years.
Ralph leaves behind his wife of 61
years, Mickie (Flores) Perez,; daughter, Sandra (Frank) Maciel; sons,
Ernie Perez, Ron (Alexandra) Perez and Rick Perez. He also leaves
behind five grandchildren. He is survived by sister, Eleanor Camargo;
and brothers, Alfonso Perez and Rudy Perez.
He was preceded in death by son, Ralph
"Manny" Perez, who passed in 2008; brother, Joe Perez; and
sister, Hortensia Finch.
Private services were held April 27,
2017, at Riverside National Cemetery, with full military honors.
