Dwight L. Boesker
Obituary
Dwight L. Boesker, 64, passed away at his residence on
Sunday (Aug. 19, 2012). He was born on Nov. 13, 1947, in McPherson, the son of
Albert “Buck” and Lillie Boesker. He proudly served his country with the U.S.
Army during Vietnam. He was a maintenance technician for Wheatland Homes of
North Newton. Prior to that, he had more than 20 years of employment with Wray
Roofing of Newton. On Jan. 29, 2000, he was united in marriage to Katherine M.
Sipes. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the American Legion. He is
lovingly survived by his wife, Kathy of Marion; children, Kevin (Dawn)
Robertson of Topeka, Chris (Ed) Baatrup of Newton, Jennifer (Kevin) Quimby of
DeKalb, Ill., and Denise (Tom) Crabb of Marion; siblings, Roland (Bernice)
Boesker of Burns and Ruby (Terry) Jantzen of Moundridge; and eight
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruth and Yvonne
Boesker. Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Aug. 22, 2012).
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 23, 2012), both at Zeiner
Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS 66861. Memorial fund established for the
Marion Historical Museum, in care of the funeral home.
