Obituary

Vincent S. Runco, 79, passed away on Thursday (Aug. 9, 2012) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born on Sept. 14, 1932, to Jim and Angi Mazzota Runco in Salida, Colo. He married Karen Hiebert on Aug. 4, 1973, in Walton. She passed away on Nov. 15, 2000. He is survived by sons, Chad (Shannon) of San Diego and Jimmy of Denver; daughters, Cherish (John) Edwards of Newton, Readon Wall of Denver and Valerie Runco of Denver; sister, Readon Born of Hemet, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Corbett Runco; brothers, Orlando Runco and Albert Runco; and sisters, Jerry Lumbadie, Mabel Noan, Ida Henley, Dorothy Mazza and Eva Martellaro. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 14) at the Walton United Methodist Church in Walton, with Pastor Judith May officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday (Aug. 13) at Miller-Ott Funeral Home in Goessel.
