Russell Lee 'Rusty' Smith
Russell Lee 'Rusty' Smith, 43, passed away Friday (Oct. 31,
2008) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
He was born July 8, 1965, in El Dorado to William J. and
Sharyl J. (Parker) Smith. They preceded him in death.
On April 19, 1985, he married Lorraine M. Carroll in Newton.
She survives of the home.
Rusty attended Grace Community Church in Newton. He was the
former owner of and retired from Mid Kansas Pest Control.
Rusty enjoyed motorcycles, boating and fishing. He greatly
looked forward to spending time with his loving family.
Other survivors include sons, Tyler Lee Smith and Hunter
Parker Smith, both of Newton; and brothers, Randy Smith of Wichita, Rick Smith
of Nevada, Mo., and Rocky Smith of Wichita.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Smith.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Grace
Community Church, with pastors David Reimer and Steve Friesen of the church
officiating.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cassoday
Cemetery in Cassoday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunter Smith
Education Fund or Grace Community Church Missions in care of the funeral home.
