Obituary
Daisy D. (Mosiman) Herbison, 86, passed away on Friday (June
3, 2011) in Wichita.
She was born on May 29, 1925, to Tobias and Mildred (Byrd)
Richert in Bloomfield, Mont.
She enjoyed being a retiree. Earlier in her life, she worked
at Mid-Continent Cabinetry and most recently was a clerk and greeter at
Wal-Mart in Newton.
Daisy enjoyed the time she could spend with past co-workers
and friends. Her pride and passion were her family and family in Christ. She
held a church membership with First Church of God in Newton.
Her hobbies included sewing, camping, cooking and, most
importantly, spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids with their
sports activities and hobbies.
Her survivors are three sons, Bill Mosiman (Liz) of
Moundridge, Ben (Janet) Mosiman of Newton and Russell (Christine) Mosiman of
Olathe; four daughters, Bonnie Schmidt of Newton, Pat (Gene) Embry of Fort
Collins, Colo., Sharon (Randall) Hoskins of Emporia and Vickie (David) Voth of
Hutchinson; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her brothers, Raymond and
Benjamin Richert; sisters, Betty Matz and Mary "Mickey" Christensen;
son-in-law, Eugene Schmidt; and granddaughters, Alicia Schmidt and April Smith.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with family
greeting from 6 to 8 p.m. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. Funeral
services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Church of God, 620 Fairview in
Newton. Burial will be at First Missionary Church Cemetery near Elbing
following the service.
