Obituary
Noel A. Oliver, 87, died on Saturday (July 2, 2011) at the
Presbyterian Manor of Newton.
Noel was born on Oct. 7, 1923, in Elk City to Henry Arthur
and Irma (McBrian) Oliver.
Noel married Juanita Ritchey and was married for 51 years.
She preceded him in death.
He was a retired farmer and "railroader" from the
Santa Fe Railroad. His passion was gardening, and he enjoyed people, visiting
with them often.
He is survived by son, Steve Oliver of Newton; daughter,
Irma Zinn of Arkansas City; and a brother, Boyd Oliver of Bartlesville, Okla.
He had four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Arthur and
Irma Oliver; wife, Juanita Oliver; son, David Oliver; brothers, Clinton and
Calvin Oliver; and sisters, "Henri" Oliver and Bethrine Crowell.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Petersen
Funeral Home in Newton, with the family present from 3 to 7 p.m.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Elk
City Cemetery in Elk City.
