Hilma L. Dirks, 88, died Tuesday (June 6, 2017) at Pine Village in Moundridge.
She was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Halstead, to Daniel C. and Elizabeth (Becker) Buller. She was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, a homemaker and a lifelong Halstead resident, prior to moving to Moundridge in 2014. On Oct. 9, 1949, she married Willis Dirks in Halstead. He survives at home in Moundridge.
Other survivors include son, Stan (Lorretta) Dirks of Halstead; daughter, Anita (Jim) Kehn of Ulysses; brother, Chris (Karen) Buller of Newton; sisters, Ada Koehn of Moundridge, Judy (Alton) Koehn of Detroit, Texas and Helen (Lorne) Reimer of Halstead; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Jonas, Aaron, Reuben, Irvin and Jim Buller; as well as by sisters Edna Koehn and Amanda Unruh.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday (June 8, 2017) at Grace Mennonite Church in Halstead. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday (June 9, 2017), also at the Church, with Ministers Raleigh Koehn, Marlin Unruh and Dean Becker officiating. Burial will follow at Halstead Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation in care of Kaufman Funeral Home of Halstead.
